Privacy Policy

AskProperty operates the askproperty.ai platform and associated services (“the Service”). For questions about this policy, contact us at hello@askproperty.ai.

Account data — When you register, we collect your name, email address, and business name. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase.

Content you upload — FAQs, documents, and website content you add to your knowledge base.

Billing data — Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. We receive and store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Widget visitor data — Messages sent by visitors to your embedded widget, and any contact details they voluntarily submit via the lead capture form (name, email, phone number, notes).

Usage data — Conversation counts, timestamps, and aggregate usage metrics for your account dashboard.

Technical data — IP addresses (for rate limiting only), browser type, and server logs. We do not use cookies for tracking.

• To operate and deliver the Service
• To generate AI responses grounded in your uploaded content
• To send you lead notifications, trial reminders, and account emails
• To process and manage your subscription via Stripe
• To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
• To improve reliability and diagnose errors (via anonymised logs)

We do not sell your data or your visitors’ data to third parties. We do not use visitor chat data to train AI models.

We use the following sub-processors to deliver the Service:

• Google Cloud / Firebase — hosting, database, and authentication
• Google Gemini — AI response generation (your content is sent to generate responses)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Firecrawl — website scraping (only when you initiate a scrape)

We retain your account data and uploaded content for as long as your account is active. Conversation and lead data is retained for 12 months by default. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@askproperty.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use row-level security in our database to ensure each business can only access its own data. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel.

You are the data controller for any personal data collected from your website visitors through the widget (including lead capture). You are responsible for having an appropriate privacy notice on your own website informing visitors that an AI chat widget is active and that their messages and contact information may be stored.

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email before material changes take effect. The current version is always available at askproperty.ai/privacy.
